Nurse Assistant: Laparoscopic Surgery 10th-11th June 2019
Ideally participants will have completed the Introduction to Laparoscopic Surgery first.
Description
This course is for theatre nurses who have experience in laparoscopic surgery. They will be given in depth information and practice time to enable them to become proactive camera operators and first assistants in surgery.
Course content:
• Anatomy through a telescope
• How to assist in surgery
• Electrosurgery principles and safety •
Practise manual skills using training simulators
The course is limited to 8 participants on a “first come first serve” basis. NZ Trainees have priority.
