Phlebotomy & IV Cannulation Course

This one day course is for anyone who requires experience in the basics of Phlebotomy, Venepuncture and Intravenous Cannulation (IV).

Description

Participants who have little or no experience in Phlebotomy will receive instruction in the principles and methods of venepuncture and Intravenous Cannulation (IV).  There will be plenty of opportunities to acquire manual skills during this workshop.  Designed to allow safe and proper handling and use of essential equipment.

At the completion of this half day workshop, participants will receive a certificate of participation, however this certificate does not qualify you as a phlebotomist.

Topics include:

  • Peripheral venous anatomy
  • How to use specialised equipment
  • Practice manual skills - using training simulators

This course is limited to 16 participants on "first come first served" basis.

Important Note: The course will be cancelled if the minimum participants have not been reached one week prior to the workshop.
